Claire Hamer and Janine Passley have spent 15 years collectively buying for the UK’s leading fashion retailers including Topshop, ASOS.com and River Island.

During this time they implemented sustainable strategies at Topshop, focusing on trade development in emerging economies including collaborations with small communities across Africa and introducing Fairtrade Cotton supply chains.  They have been instrumental in launching The Green Room marketplace and ASOS Africa on the UK's leading fashion etailer, ASOS.com.

They created Ei8ht as a nexus for the fashion and textile industry providing specialist expertise on trade development in emerging markets with a focus on sustainable sourcing.
