Having achieved success with his self-established platform, Ei8ht's notable nomination for an EOTM award in the category of "Outstanding Radio Show Host" in 2013 marked a pivotal moment in his career shift. Redirecting his focus from entertainment to producing positive content with the potential to impact lives on a broader scale, Ei8ht delved into the study of Family Development through a program at Cornell University. This initiative equipped him with valuable insights into serving and inspiring youth through a family-centric approach.

Subsequent to extensive study and research, Ei8ht authored his debut book, "Changing My Perspective." Despite being his inaugural literary work, the book garnered praise and found a place in the Green State Prison Reform Curriculum, aiming to inspire prisoners towards positive change in their behavior and outlook.

 

Dedicating himself to the betterment of inner-city youth, Ei8ht embarked on speaking engagements at noteworthy locations such as the Mayor’s office in New York City and the Spofford Correctional facility, a juvenile detention center in NYC. His impactful message centered on empowering individuals to realize their full potential while maintaining a strong sense of self, resonating with people from diverse backgrounds and economic statuses.

Seeking to extend his influence into community development through real estate, Ei8ht founded his commercial mortgage firm, Ei8ht Street Funding in 2015. By 2022, the company earned recognition as one of the 13 Best Commercial Lending Startups by Beststartups.us and secured a spot among the top 101 Real Estate companies in the state of New Jersey, according to EstateInnovations.com. Ei8ht Street Funding has also partnered with the Biggerpockets platform to offer its funding services.
